Rebekah joined CrossFit Innerdrive almost 2 and half years ago in June of 2017! Like a lot of us she was just looking to get in better shape, but she recognized that there might be something different at Innerdrive that would make her more consistent in going. The community of her Innerdrive family was that difference, and over time seeing how she has been able to start doing things she never could before keeps her pushing to hit new PR’s. This motivation from the community, and possibly some coaches slightly nagging her to keep practicing them, got Rebekah to recently nail down pull ups enough that she does them whenever they show up in workouts! She’s even starting to enjoy them as much as kettlebell movements, which are her favorite.
We’ve all got some movement that just gets to us, and for Rebekah it’s squat cleans. It can be nerve racking that you won’t be able to stand back up, but she consistently makes it to Weightlifting class and works on her confidence. Thanks to CrossFit her confidence in running has gotten much higher though! To the point that she has done several fun runs and relays, and will even enjoy a jog once in a while. Something we can all agree with more than running though, she likes to occupy herself with activities in all seasons by paddle boarding in the summers and hockey when it starts to cool off.
