Keeley has been with Innerdrive from the very beginning here in Albert Lea, that’s 4 years! Prior to starting CrossFit Keeley had successfully begun losing weight with spin classes and such at the YMCA, but she was starting to move towards the goal of making sure it stayed off. The trouble was finding something that kept her interested and motivated enough each day, rather than the same thing at class again and again. Different daily WODs and a group of like minded, encouraging people at CrossFit would be a perfect fit, but it took a lot for Keeley to step that far out of her comfort zone and walk into Innerdrive for the first time.
Keeley is very thankful for the activities her fitness allows her to do outside of the gym, such as biking, hiking, and kayaking, but is even more grateful for what it will continue to allow her to do. As her career is in nursing she looks forward to be able to help people for years to come, but personally Keeley loves that she’ll be able to keep up with her grandkids (once she finally gets some that is, not that she’s counting). In the gym she has undoubtedly tried all kinds of movements, but back squats stick out at the top of her list! It’s hard to disagree with moving a heavy barbell as fun. Trying new things at the gym isn’t something Keeley shies away from though, and currently she’s doing her best to set a goal for each workout to beat to make sure that she’s giving that extra 10%.
