Arlene began at CrossFit Innerdrive around a year ago. Usually the main draw for people is looking to start a healthier lifestyle, and then the community comes as a bonus, but for Arlene it’s flipped around. She had been looking for a way to get to know more people in the community when Donna Hup told her about the amazing people at CrossFit. It was intimidating for her at first, but Arlene has been meeting new people and getting stronger every day since.
There isn’t any one movement that Arlene looks forward to, but more the variety from day to day. She is in agreement with everyone else though that burpees are less than fun, but in terms of actual movement it’s the kip that gives her the most trouble. The last month she feels like she has really been able to push things by beating times she wasn’t expecting, and moving weights she didn’t think she’d be able to move, like just this morning with deadlifts.
Arlene found an amazing way to connect with all different members of the community through Innerdrive, and it’s the people that keep her coming in every morning.
