Anna was given a little nudge to try CrossFit in October of 2018 by her husband, but it didn’t take any more than that cause she instantly loved it. She found it a great way to stay in shape and be healthier, and continues to focus on her consistency at home. Trying to stay on track with working out in some way 5 days a week, and putting a focus on the skills that she’s had trouble with. Higher skill gymnastics are tough to get a handle on, but luckily all it really takes is your body, so she’s putting in some extra time on things like pistols and handstands.
Continuing to workout at home has been a big help in general for Anna. It keeps her energetic through out the day, and breaks up the monotony of being in the house for days on end. She also sees it help her make her diabetes much more manageable as well. Anna definitely wants to get back into the gym for real though. Besides her favorite movements being things with a barbell like deadlifts and squat cleans, she also wants to get back in the atmosphere for the extra push to get after those challenges she finds daily with CrossFit.
